Welcome to The Travel Info Blogger! I am Chantal, a South African travel and hiking blogger, living in Johannesburg.
I used to hike a long time ago and I have slowly been building up my fitness levels. It is wonderful to be out on the trails again.
On the travel front, I am unashamedly a tourist – I enjoy seeing the sights – after all, they are famous for a reason!
As you will note from the varied posts, my interests are diverse, and I am enthusiastic about many aspects of the travel experience.
Over the years, I have travelled in different ways (with family, in groups, with friends, semi-solo), but most of my more recent travels have been with my husband (and children). When my husband and I plan our trips, I typically focus on planning the destinations and sightseeing and he typically researches and books the flights, hotels and other transport.
I am a happy snapper, not a photographer, so my photos are au naturel rather than works of art.
The intention of this site is to provide:
- useful practical information to those who are planning their walks, hikes, or travels
- inspiration to those looking for new destination ideas.
It would be great to hear from you! Please leave any comments or questions related to a post in the Comment section of the post or contact me via the Contact page. I would be happy to try and assist with any queries you may have about planning your trip.
Please sign up in the page footer to be notified by email when a new article is posted.
PS I use a hybrid of UK and US English.
